Although I am a Math teacher, i always had a strong interest in Art. Back in school, I even took Art as a subject due to my strong passion towards it. When I was studying Art, I learnt that there were different techniques to do Art. Art comes in various forms.
My colleague and I decided to come up with a June Holiday Art Programme for the students at Axcell Tuition Centre. We organised 3 different workshops.
They were :
1. Nagomi Art Workshop
2. Sanrio Bento Workshop
3. Totoro Candle Making Workshop
I had the opportunity to see my students having fun during these workshops. The purpose of this workshop was to help students relief stress as they might have been under immense pressure due to their school exams.
This programme gave me the chance to work in a team of tutors. Despite our different opinions, we managed to come up with a programme without major difficulties. This activity emphasised on the value of teamwork and I believe I can work with others better now.
