This was a student-initiated project in school where it was part of helping the environment and doing our part to save our earth.For me, I planned something that was easy for us students to do our part, which was going to clean up the beach by picking up trash that was lying around.
Despite it being a school project, it was eye-opening since I was able to see it for myself that many people actually neglect small actions like responsibly discarding trash which can be so important in keeping public places clean.I enjoyed the experience and it was fulfilling to know that many students like me found it therapeutic to conduct the clean up session while meeting new people.
Through this activity, I learnt the value of responsibility. Knowing the importance of cleaning up after myself is crucial. This value remained instilled in me and I try my best to be responsible for my own actions. Especially when working in teams, it is important that I am responsible for the tasks I am assigned to in order for the team to progress.
